NERO - The better alternative to the stab-resistant vest

With NERO, INNARA introduces a new form of protective clothing: a high-quality premium puffer jacket with integrated protective technology. Developed for people who want to feel safer in everyday life without changing their style. No tactical look. No visible vest. No feeling of wearing protective clothing.

Style. Safe. INNARA.

Why NERO was developed

Security is no longer an abstract topic. Many people move daily through cities, train stations, parking garages, public places or situations where they do not always feel completely safe.

At the same time, hardly anyone wants to look like they are wearing protective clothing.

Classic stab-resistant vests, inserts, or visible protective clothing serve a purpose, but rarely fit into everyday life. They appear conspicuous, uncomfortable, or too tactical. This is precisely where NERO comes in.

INNARA developed NERO because protection does not have to be visible to be effective.

The idea behind it is simple:

A jacket that looks like premium streetwear – and at the same time offers integrated protective technology.

What is NERO?

NERO is a stab-resistant premium puffer jacket with an integrated PolyTect™ protection system.

From the outside, NERO looks like a modern, minimalist winter jacket: black, urban, high-quality, and versatile. It goes with hoodies, shirts, jeans, sweatpants, or chinos. On the way to work, in the city, when traveling, or out in the evening.

What you don't see: Inside is a multi-layered protection system that has been specifically integrated into the jacket.

The protected main area covers the torso as well as central protection areas such as the hood, collar, and neck area. The sleeves are also designed for cut protection. This creates a jacket that offers protection without sacrificing freedom of movement and everyday usability.

Protective clothing has never been so good at not being protective clothing.

TÜV-tested stab protection according to EN 388 Level 4

When it comes to protective clothing, it's not just the promise that counts. It's the proof.

NERO has been tested by TÜV SÜD and achieves the highest stab protection class according to EN 388 Level 4 in the tested protection areas.

EN 388 is a European standard for assessing mechanical risks. Among other things, it is used for testing protective materials. For NERO, this means that the integrated protection technology has been independently tested and evaluated.

For INNARA, this was a key point. Because if you promise protection, you must also be able to prove it.

NERO shouldn't just look good.
NERO should have substance when it matters most.

PolyTect™: Protection that integrates

At the heart of NERO is the PolyTect™ protection system.

It was developed to make protection feel like an integral part of the jacket, not an additional foreign element. The protective layers are multi-layered and adapted to the respective body areas.

The goal was not to build rigid armor.

The goal was a jacket that you actually wear.

Because the best protective function is the one you don't constantly have to think about. You put on NERO like a high-quality winter jacket – and you're prepared.

No extra part. No accessories. No tactical style.

Just a jacket that can do more.

Urban Protective Fashion

INNARA calls this approach Urban Protective Fashion.

This refers to clothing that fits into everyday life but offers more function than ordinary fashion. NERO is not a security product that tries to look fashionable. NERO is premium streetwear with integrated protective function.

The difference is crucial.

Because protective clothing only becomes part of everyday life if it doesn't look like protective clothing.

NERO is therefore deliberately designed in a minimalist way. No conspicuous protective plates. No martial appearance. No external signal. The jacket remains discreet, modern and versatile.

Be prepared – without looking like it.

Who is NERO made for?

NERO is made for people who look at everyday life realistically, but don't want to be dominated by fear.

For city dwellers.
For commuters.
For people who are out at night.
For parents who want to give their children a little more security.
For partners who want to protect someone.
For anyone who wouldn't wear a visible stab-resistant vest, but still seeks more safety in everyday life.

NERO is not a product for panic.
NERO is a product for control.

Security that simply goes along for the ride.

How does NERO wear?

NERO was developed as a full-fledged winter jacket.

The high-quality outer fabric, the soft inner lining, and the robust workmanship ensure that the jacket does not feel like a technical protective product. It is warm, wind-resistant, water-repellent, and made for urban everyday life.

Due to the integrated protection system, NERO weighs more than a normal puffer jacket. That's real substance. However, when worn, the weight is distributed over the upper body, so the jacket feels stable, high-quality, and comfortable.

Whoever puts on NERO will notice:
This is no ordinary jacket.

But that's exactly what it's not supposed to be.

Why does NERO cost more than a normal jacket?

Because NERO is not a normal jacket.

A regular puffer jacket offers warmth, comfort, and design. NERO additionally offers integrated protective technology, a more complex construction, tested protective areas, and high-quality workmanship.

The development of such a jacket is significantly more complex than with classic outerwear. It's not just about cut, material, and appearance. It's about combining protection, mobility, wearing comfort, and design in one product.

Nevertheless, INNARA's demand was clear:

Protection should not be an unaffordable niche product.

NERO should appear high-quality, be comfortable to wear, and remain accessible to as many people as possible.

Made in EU. Developed in Germany.

NERO was developed in Germany and produced in the EU.

For INNARA, this is not a secondary point, but part of its quality standard. Short distances, traceable production, and controllable standards are particularly important for protective clothing.

A jacket with a protective function must inspire trust.
Not just through words. But through origin, testing, and workmanship.

Why NERO is different from classic stab-resistant clothing

Many people first think of vests, duty apparel, or conspicuous protective elements when it comes to stab-resistant clothing. INNARA wanted to move away from exactly that.

NERO is different because the jacket doesn't look like protective clothing.

It fits into your everyday life without changing it. It looks like a modern winter jacket, can be combined in many ways, and remains visually discreet.

The crucial point is not just that protection is present.

The crucial point is that you actually wear it.

Because a protective product that is uncomfortable, conspicuous, or unsuitable often stays at home. NERO was developed to prevent exactly that from happening.

NERO in Black and Dark Navy

NERO is available in two urban color variations to start:

Black – minimalist, timeless, uncompromising.
Dark Navy – dark, high-quality, a little calmer in expression.

Both colors follow the same principle: discreet, combinable, and clear.

NERO is not meant to be loud.
NERO is meant to make an impact.

Conclusion: A jacket for a new reality

NERO is more than a puffer jacket.

NERO is an attempt to rethink protective clothing. Away from tactical aesthetics. Away from visible vests. Away from products that protect, but are not worn in everyday life.

Towards a jacket that looks like premium streetwear and contains real protective technology inside.

For people who want to be prepared.
Without dressing up.
Without explaining themselves.
Without sacrificing style.

NERO is protection you want to wear.
